Service, Service and bit more Service
Power of Contribution
Making a contribution through kindness and service is an incredible gift and a great way to build a strong relational foundation. Couples who serve each other the most- win. We all know that when we serve, both help another person/family/community and we help ourselves. Service can change our attitude, because making a contribution helps us have a sense of value and meaning. When you're having a rough day, do some service. When you spouse if having a rough day, serve them. When you and your spouse are having a great day, serve them some more.
Meaning of Sacrifice
In today's world of "me, me, me," sacrifice can take on a negative connotation. Sacrifice means that I have to give something up for someone else. Yep, that's what it means. However, sacrifice without the expectation of reciprocation, grandstanding (reminding everyone about your sacrifices) or complaint is a wonderful example to your loved ones. It brings us closer and gives a strong message of love and priority to your partner.
